- This wine has everything a new world tempranillo should. The nose is full of resounding earth and fruit with ethereal spice, I could breath this wine in for many moments. But alas, I tasted and it hit my every taste bud with tremendous full throttle. This wine is full bodied, but not over done, like many S. Oregon wines tend to be (i.e. too jammy, lacking acidity/balance). It's evidently the Del Rio proximity with the cool evenings/nights that the grapes in this wine were privileged to bask in and retain their acidity & full flavors of mixed berries, coffee, raisins, plum, cherry, toast and mocha. read more...It's an amazing balance. For $30 it's about the right price, but I would not be surprised if after a few notable reviews, the price will accelerate. So, get it now, while it's good and affordable! It's drinking very well now, but half a decade in optimum cellar temperature will certainly not hurt. 93 pts (hide)
