Zinfandel is considered America's own great indigenous grape, even though its origins lie on the Adriatic coast. Planted throughout California and the Pacific Northwest, Zinfandel is at its best in warm regions with cooler temperatures during harvest. An excellent blend - tried this back in 2006, it was given to me as a gift. I hadn't noted it then, but upon sampling it a second time - having not recalled the first bottle - I was very pleased. Great combination of grapes, wonderful balance.

An very good blend for the price; very full bodied -- it's a nice big wine, good for the winter. I find myself buying a bottle every time I'm at my local shop, although I'm slowing down on it. Good by itself, better with food.

Found a case of this for $4.99/bottle at grocery outlet - awesome find! Delightfully surprising and tasty little red. A great value even at full price, even better when found so cheaply.
