Very silky with a nice buttery body and finish. Not too heavy on the oak at all. It combines grapes from northern Cali and the central regions, or warmer Cali. The process to make this fabulous wine involved french yeast, partial malolactic fermentation, and the combination of french and american oak. I can honestly say it is one my favorites. I hope the 2008 vintage will be just as delightful.

Each geographic partner in our Menage a Trois Chardonnaycontributes a distinctive quality: fresh citrus aromas from Monterey;lush tropical fruit flavors from Santa Barbara; and fine structure fromMendocino. We'd like to say it's a Menage made in heaven, but to betruthful, it was made in Napa Valley. (Hey, who's splitting hairs?)
