'Highly Recommended,' California Grapevine: Medium-light golden yellow; attractive, fragrant, apple and stone fruit aroma with hints of honeysuckle and vanilla, and a note of minerality; medium body; crisp, lemony, pear and green apple flavors with bright acidity; lingering aftertaste. 13.5% alcohol; 2,050 cases; 100% barrel fermented; 100% malolactic fermentation; released February 2013. Prototypical Chardonnay. My wife simply said "I love this wine". Some nice white tea elements and of course a heaping helping of oak. No butter though, just some rich vanilla extract and even oregano!? The price could stand to shave a couple bucks off but overall a very solid wine.
