October 2007
- Winemaker Norm Yost's latest delicious Pinot Noir is coming from the Santa Rita Hills' Rio Vista Vineyard. Isolated as Clone 2A, the wine has a rather reserved focus but if my reaction to the likes of Kosta Browne, Siduri and Auteur (producers that have wowed me with 2A) is any indication, you will find plenty to like here, Shows aromas of black raspberry and cherry with dusty plum/violet hints. Delicate and smooth on the palate with flavors of pomegranate, cherry and spice.
