If the thrill of opening an older wine still gets youhellip; open this white! After 30 minutes decanted, you will understand Carneros fruit. Golden in the glass and lavishly oaked, glycerin, minerals and apples, pears and peaches unfold little by little as time passes. Silky smooth on the palate, save for the sophisticated crispness on the finish.
Flora Springsrsquo; BF Chardonnay was a famous wine in the eighties, one of the first to alert consumers to the beauties of true barrel fermentation. Itrsquo;s still a great wine, although the price is higher now. Rich and creamy, it shows ripe tropical fruit and vanilla caramel flavors, with a smoky edge of oak.
Elegant, even delicate, showing rich, subtle fig, nectarine and tangerine flavors wrapped in light toast oak, with a gentle finish that caresses the palate. Drink now through 2009.
