The Komes brothers first approached us with the 2002 version of this wine last fall. Who better to create a "private label" cabernet for us than Flora Springs? The new vintage is a brawnier wine; dark cherry and blackberry fruit, lots of weight, and a well-integrated, toasted oak sweetness on the finish. Give it a little breathing room, and the 2003 will reward you with hefty warm-climate cabernet goodness!
