Fleurie Beaujolais Clos de la Roilette F Coudert 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2011 Clos de la Roilette is racy, vibrant wine that shows what Gamay can do when grown in a great vineyard site with low yields and vinified with care. Fernand Coudert established the reputation of this superb Beaujolias cru beginning in the 1960s. Since 1984 his son Alain has been the winemaker, following his father's artisanal methods. The 22 acres of vines are on one of the best slopes in the Beaujolais Crus, bordering Moulin--0056ent. Coudert's Fleuries can be enjoyed young or can be aged 5-10 years, depending on the vintage, taking on a an earthy Pinot Noir character.
