The Chardonnay displays beautiful toasty aromas on the nose with hints of melon and citrus fruit. It is dry with a well-balanced weight that demands attention. Lovely nut, butterscotch and vanilla oak support a zesty palate packed with apple and citrus flavors. The wine has a fascinating long finish and is excellent value for money. It will mature well over the next two to four years
Notes: For 40 percent of the wine, fermentation started in tank and was completed in a combination of French (80 percent) and American (20 percent) oak barrels. The remaining 60 percent fermented on French (50 percent) and American (50 percent) oak staves.
