Fleur de Carneros is a bright, fresh, charming, and flavorful Pinot Noir from Carneros. The brilliant ruby color sets the stage for aromas of ripe cherry and cranberry, with hints of white pepper and nutmeg. While dominated by effusive fruit flavor, the wine is soft, supple and rich in the mouth.

The Fleur de California winery was begun in 1972 by a couple with a great love of Burgundy, and they have gone on to produce Pinot Noirs that remind us just why we love this grape. This bottle has cranberry and cherry aromas, warm earthy notes of nutmeg and forest floor, and a beautifully soft mouthfeel.
Red berries and spice collaborate to form a friendly and easy wine. Sweet spice and vanilla in the nose attract you to a medium-bodied, smooth, supple style. This is a delicate pinot which would pair well with lamb or salmon.
The surprisingly complex 2007 Pinot Noir, which comes out of Carneros, is a steal. The color is surprisingly light, but don't pre-judge it based on its appearance. Its smoky, raspberry, earthy, forest floor and cherry-scented nose is pure, high-quality Pinot Noir. The wine is light to medium-bodied, crisp, fresh, and an authentic taste of Pinot Noir for those thrifty consumers looking to maximize their purchasing power. Drink it over the next year.
