Flaio Primitivo Salento IGT 2011

Member Review by MattieBamman:

Good for the price. The nose is cooked blackberry and absolutely massive, but it gets interesting in the mouth. Surprisingly, it's quite light, with a good balance between the tannins, acidity, and a little alcohol heat. 3 1/2 glasses based on bang for your buck.

The Primitivo grape of southern italy's salento peninsuls the heal of the italian boot has long been famous for the quality of the wine it produces.  Deep yet smooth this Primitivo is most suitable with hearty foods from pasta and pizza to red meats.
