Vivid ruby-red. Bright, spice-accented red fruit and flowers on the nose and palate. Light-bodied, very fruity and brisk, with firm finishing cut and no tannins to get in the way of immediate gratification. This is way too easy to drink.

A good pizza/hamburger wine, Flaco’s 2012 Tempranillo (100% Tempranillo) is a noteworthy value at $9 a bottle. Light-bodied with plenty of herbaceous strawberry and sweet cherry fruit, it offers a pleasant mouthfeel as well as good texture. The word “Flaco” in Spanish means “dude,” and this is a wine that all dudes can enjoy over the next year.

Cherry, berry and herbal notes mingle in this light, juicy red. Light tannins and lively acidity support a supple texture. A simple wine. Drink now.
