- The last of the old vines, showing a distinctly old world feel to the aromas; dusty, soft elegant licorice and spice. The flavors are a vortex of complex, old-world flavors, elegant mint, and Provencal herbs with a pristine pond of interlaced cherry, black walnuts, blue plum. The tannins are like silk. A beautifully sculpted wine.

- ($125) Deep red. Redcurrant, tobacco, tomato and fresh herbs on the nose. Soft and truffley in the mouth; seems a bit lacking in grip and flavor authority. Finishes with big, dusty, slightly dry tannins. Seems less successful than the Lamb bottling.
