Nice concentrated cherry on the nose with a touch of raspberry. Raspberry on the midpalate. The finish, however, is weak. It's over very quickly and there's really nothing there. Not a great pinot, but not terrible (I've had much worse). Probably won't buy again but it wouldn't be a complete waste of money if you did. There are better ones out there though in this price range.

Extremely light Pinot.
Soft, silky, notes of plum and cherry. Nice finish and pairs well with sugar-seared, pan-fried salmon. Will buy again!
Fruity on the nose, a bit light on the palate. Still ok overall. Went well with BBQ sausages on the grill.
I was steered toward this wine as a potential "Thanksgiving" wine. I am glad I did not serve it then. I guess my tastes run a little more toward a fruit forward pinot. I just did not see much flavor to the wine.
Not sure what was wrong with this one but I couldn't drink it and others felt that it was sad also.
External Reviews for Firesteed Cellars Pinot Noir
Ruby red in color with aromas of strawberries, cedar and spice the wine's luscious flavors of vanilla bean and cherry tart are well-supported by its surprising structure. Grapes for this wine, as in previous years, were sourced from throughout the Willamette, Umpqua, Rogue and Walla Walla Valleys, creating a truly Oregon blend.
The wine is richly aromatic like a warm berry cobbler topped with cold vanilla ice cream. Lively in the mouth each sip is brimming with black cherry and raspberry flavors that continue through to the richly rewarding finish.Winery.
Alive with Raspberry and dark Cherry aromas, the Firesteed Willamette Valley Pinot Noir begins with bright fruit up front, but later reveals deeper tones that combine cedar and spice with the wineÕs luscious flavors of vanilla bean and blackberries. The wineÕs silky tannins will continue to soften and integrate as this elegant wine ages.
