This is alright as an everyday red, very light and not intense on the nose and flavor, held up well enough when paired with a chocolate cake. Its mildly sweet on the palate and lacks the tannin bite often associated with Burgundy reds. Would be somewhat unfair to compare this to Burgundy so I guess its good enough for its purpose which is house pouring everyday wine.
