- Finca Sobreno has been a top value pick in previous vintages, and it's good to see this property is still on target. Expensive, but still a reasonably fair value is the 1999 Seleccion Especial. A muscular, dense purple-colored effort, it reveals new oak as well as thick, voluminous flavors, and loads of glycerin, body, and power. This is a serious, highly-extracted, rich, well-balanced Spanish red to drink over the next 7-8 years. Wine Advocate
