Diese betörende Cuvée von kühler Stilistik beeindruckt mit seinem kräftigen Charakter. Noten von Cassis, schwarzen Beeren, Tabak, getrocknete Feigen und etwas Würze harmonieren wunderbar mit dem verführerisch weichen und ungemein saftigen Empfinden am Gaumen. Unterlegt wird dieses Top-Cuvée von einem erfrischenden Säuregerüst und einer wunderbar eingebetteten Tanninstruktur. Ein grossartiger Tropfen, der Massstäbe setzt!

Inky ruby. A complex bouquet offers red berries, cherry, rose and baking spices. There's a lively character here that reminds me a bit of ripe pinot noir. Juicy and open-knit, with gently sweet raspberry and cherry flavors and good spine. Finishes with gentle tannins and very good clarity, repeating the spicy note.

Manchuela, SpainFinca Sandoval is a beautiful Spanish red blend from the old wine region of Manchuela in east-central Spain, just east of La Mancha. Finca Sandoval is a relatively new venture of well-known Spanish journalist Victor La Serna, with 26 acres of vineyards in the long-forgotten Manchuela appellation. This 2008 vintage bottling is a blend of 76% Syrah, 13% Monastrell and 11% Bobal, bottled unfiltered after 11 months in French oak. The world's top critics praise this wine in unison: Steve Tanzer 92, Wine Spectator 90. We agree that Finca Sandoval is without a doubt a wine gem!Finca Sandoval is dense ruby-purple in color showing intense aromas of cherry, blackberry, cassis, licorice, mocha and spice. Bold on the palate with full body and velvety tannins, the wine offers flavors of dark berries, chocolate, meat, minerals and toasted oak. Beautifully balanced to enjoy now and over the next 8-10 years. The finish is long and full, with chewy tannins. A spicy base of cedar and tobacco leaf is layered with subtle notes of damson plum, ripe black cherry and cassis in this supple red that's well-integrated and refined from start to the bresaola-tinged finish. Drink now through 2018.

The entry-level 2008 Salia is a blend of 50% Syrah, 38% Garnacha Tintorera, and 12% Garnacha Tinta that went through malolactic in barrel and was aged for 11 months in seasoned French and American oak prior to bottling without fining or filtration. Mineral, blueberry, black cherry, smoke, and floral notes form the nose of this dense, succulent, layered red. It has enough structure to evolve to 2–3 years but can be approached now. It is an outstanding value that over-delivers in a big way.
