Finca Flichman Malbec 2012

Member Review by nickbanane:

For the price , this Malbec kicks my ass. Available in most of the Quebec SAQ stores. Enjoyable, rich with the usual Malbec caracter you should expect, and still very sophisticated for what would normally be a standard 10 dollar wine. This baby is underrated.

Today, there are three wineries under the Finca Flichman label, located in Carodilla, Perdriel and Junin. The label produces a range consisting of table and sparkling wines.  Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This is the best wine under $10 carried in the SAQ (liquor section) of the village store in Messines, QC. Perfect for bbq, grilled veg, salad, peanuts, 30C.

This wine can be had again and again. An exceptional value-wine that may not not an exceptional standout, but is a solid repeat performer. Goes very well with spicy foods and beef.

The oak is apparent right away in the sweet, mellow nose. There’s a straightforward taste of cherry with hints of coffee grinds, then a clean, quick finish. (AV 85, http://argovino.com/?p=200)

Complex aromas of flowers, cherries and ripe plums in an oak background. Soft tannins and lingering finish

Deep black fruit and light cedar greet you on the nose of this oak-aged Malbec from Argentina. Medium- to full-bodied with black currant plum and allspice notes. Perfect for barbecue.

Weingut: Finca FlichmanLand: ArgentinienRegion: MendozaRebsorte: 100% MalbecInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 13,5 Vol.%Empfohlene Serviertemperatur: 12 - 16 °CFaßreife: Ausbau in Stahltanks, in Barriques gereift (bis 6 Monate)Lagerfähigkeit: 2 - 3 Jahre ab Jahrgang Rotwein > Argentinien > Mendoza
