Finca El Reposo Malbec 2010
I picked up a half-bottle of this, a whim for a pulled pork sandwich & a stack of vinyl. It's surprising in its charcoal notes, there's a terrific earthy sheen on the nose. Dark, concentrated without pulling too much attention to itself. Great for BBQ.Add winemaker's notes

Fair Malbec. Pretty smooth and silky with a berry nose and hint of pepper.
I didn't have this with grilled sausages or Parrillada Mixta, but I did have it with a rather gamy petite filet, and I think I would have been nowhere near as satisfied with the meal without this wonderful Malbec. Soft, sumptuous, smoky and sweet. Very complex. Cassis, blackberry, charcoal and warm spices on the nose. Very fruity and sweet, trailing into minerals and light tannins. Really a very nice wine. Definitely top on my list next time I'm shopping for Malbec.
Three and a half glasses

From 15-20 year old vines planted in the Uco Valley region. Located at the foot of the Andes range, more than 3,150 ft above sea level, this region produces some of the most refined and elegant Malbecs from Argentina. Dark berries, violets and a great acidity gives this wine a nod to an old world style
