Finca El Reposo Cabernet 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Finca el Reposo Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from ungrafted, 45+ year old vines planted in the Cruz de Piedra district. This area is part of the department of Maipu and belongs to the most prominent wine growing region in Argentina: the Prime Zone. Both wines are 30% aged in 2nd and 3rd year old French oak barrels that add more complexity, texture, and roundness.

Not bad at all... blackberry aroma with a sweet cherry kick. A little heavy until it breathes, but then becomes much more balanced with an earthy spice. Aftertaste is a little too complex, with hints of licorice and a dry berry taste.
