Finca El Origen Malbec Gran Reserva 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Spectator Review
Rated 90
A savory style, loaded with mocha and espresso notes to the ripe, rich ?avors of roasted plum, dried beef and macerated cherry. Medium-grain tannins and ample minerality define the finish. Drink now through 2018.

Wine Tasting Notes
In this amazing Malbec, the Petit Verdot (8%), Cabernet Franc (6%) and Syrah (1%) are noticeable, as they improve the final wine, which has brilliant purple color. The nose is dominated by red plums, morello cherries, figs, dried apricots with a delicate perfume of violets, and harmonized elegant notes of vanilla, chocolate and toast. This is a full-bodied wine of great structure and concentration. The excellent balance between acidity and round ripe tannins results in a wine with great personality. It has a pleasant and lingering finish.
