The epitome of Mendoza malbec, from the acrid coffee-and-ink nose to the dark plum flavor buoyed by a welcome sweetness and then dispatched with just enough acid. No fruit bombs here, just malbec done right. (AV 91, http://argovino.com/?p=1188)

A warm and generous Malbec, this has aromas of melted rubber and berry. It’s full, grabby and correct in the mouth, with lightly herbal flavors of plum, berry and chocolate. The finish is big, juicy and toasty.

A core intesity of red fruit flavors and lifted violet aromas remain the signature of Malbec from our Remolinos Vineyard. This is exquisitely balanced by freshness of acidity and an elegant integration of French oak which adds complexity

A staff favorite, the Decero is robust and muscular, with an abundance of rich black fruit and pepper notes. A hint of oak on the finish adds a lingering touch. Food pairing: red meats Flavor type: fruit-forward Body type: medium-full Finish: rich

Drink now. 12,000 cases imported. -NW The 2010 Malbec - Remolinos Vineyard is wild fermented and raised in 90% French barriques (30% new) and the remainder in tank. It has a very composed bouquet of blackberry, briary and crushed stone that is very well-defined and sophisticated considering its price. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy, ripe tannins, luscious blackberry pastille and bilberry fruit, yet shows a little astringency right on the finish. Not bad at all. Drink 2013-2017.
