Fife Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District Reserve 1994

Winemaker's Notes:

Robert Parker: Initial releases from this winery have all been interesting and well-made wines. Fife's dark plum-colored 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve displays muted aromatics that include vague notions of ripe plums and blackberries... If the tannin melts away and the fruit holds, this wine should be good. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following decade. (Dec 1997)

Fife Vineyards:
Fife Vineyards is a small, family-operated winery producing wines that express their terroir and a European sensibility. They are food-friendly wines based on red Bordeaux, Rhône and Zinfandel varietals. We strive to avoid over-ripeness, excess oak and high alcohol, which we believe would mask the unique terroir driven flavors of our wines.
