Fife Vineyards is a small, family-operated winery producing wines that express their terroir and a European sensibility. They are food-friendly wines based on red Bordeaux, Rhône and Zinfandel varietals. We strive to avoid over-ripeness, excess oak and high alcohol, which we believe would mask the unique terroir driven flavors of our wines.
The previous reviewer was right. We saved our 2000's until July of 2010. The 10 year old bottles were some of the best "reasonable priced" cabs we've ever had. Now we can't find the wine anywhere.
If you have the pleasure of this bottle in your cellar, find some close friends and pop it open! Drinking exceptionally well, with lingering notes of forest floor, mocha and tobacco from nose to finish.
