Fields Family Wines is not just a winery, it’s also a collection. Not a collection of wineries, but a collection of family and friends, all working together to make the vineyard what it is today. After years of searching for the perfect land, the Fields family decided on a place along Woodbridge Road, in the heart of the Lodi appellation. With the help of Ryan Sherman, their winemaker, and the constant care of the Fields family, including Russ, Melinda, Van, Zack, and Mia, they collected their first harvest at the end of 2007. There are three main grapes grown at the Fields Family’s vineyards: Organic Syrah, Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon, and Old Vine Zinfandel. The Syrah has been certified organic, and the highly demanded grapes are used in both the Field Family Wines label as well as in other wines throughout California. Read less

Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

This wine has been a fan favorite for years and the 2009 release delivers again. The aromas elevate from the glass starting with opulent black fruits (blackberries, black cherries, cassis). The taste is complex and layered and leads into a lush middle palate framed by bright acid and supple tannins. Dark fruit flavors combined with ripe tannins lead into a long and soft finish.

Very nice. I actually liked it better than their Zin. Light on the tannin, no instant heartburn; excellent color & cling. Taste of cooked black cherries. And a bag of Hershy's kisses please.

This red blend is absolutely phenomenal. Truly a $50.00 bottle of wine hidden behind a $22.00 price tag. Every wine I've tasted from Fields Family Wines has fast become a cellar favorite for my family and guests.
