This wine has been a fan favorite for years and the 2009 release delivers again. The aromas elevate from the glass starting with opulent black fruits (blackberries, black cherries, cassis). The taste is complex and layered and leads into a lush middle palate framed by bright acid and supple tannins. Dark fruit flavors combined with ripe tannins lead into a long and soft finish.

Very nice. I actually liked it better than their Zin. Light on the tannin, no instant heartburn; excellent color & cling. Taste of cooked black cherries. And a bag of Hershy's kisses please.

Winemaker's Notes:

GOLD MEDAL Consumer Wine Awards at Lodi, GOLD MEDAL - S.F. Chronicle Int'l Wine Awards - Worlds largest wine competition - SILVER MEDAL - San Diego Int'l Wine Comp - This is one of my favorite wines year after year...it always over delivers. Great balance, pretty nose and a lasting finish.
