User Reviews for Feudi di San Gregorio Aglianico Taurasi Selve di Luoti
Add your review[Crispo] Not decanted, drank over 1.5 hours. Deep violet in color. Aromas of cassis, red fruit, licorice, and smoke. Well integrated tannins. On the palate, cassis, licorice, raspberry, smoke. Very international in style, though fortunately no significant oak; qualies of a Cali Cab from mountain fruit. I was not overwhelmed by its complexity, but found it very pleasant, paired well with meat sauce. Reasonably priced, would purchase again. Drinking now, but will easily last 3-5 more years.
[Gigino] I have had 4 bottle of this this week all at restaurants; nothing else on the list. The first TN aboe. The second corked sent back, and the third unremarkable; was uncertain if I had a uniquely good experience or if there is significant bottle variation. The fourth bottle: no decanting, drank over 3 hours in 90 degree heat; concentrated black fruit, olive, raspberry, smoke, found lacked complexity. The first time I really enjoyed it, but the last 3 bottle have been less satisifying. I have now done this wine to death, and I'm officially not interest in more.
