Great value from Cantina Bove! This wine is full bodied, pleasantly dry with a hint of liquorice and a bouquet reminiscent of wild berries. Made to be drunk on its own or to accompany food. Vinicola Bove was established in 1930 and has since modernized the winery, which now boasts a high-tech bottling plant. The estate comprises 60 hectares of well situated vineyards and under the watchful eye of oenologist Dott. .Vittorio Festa, the vinification techniques ensure the production of the highest quality wines from low yields, with rigorous grape selection and refined ageing in oak barrels. The Bove style is to make well textured, mellow red wines showing good typicity. Their FEUDI DALBE is made in an easy drinking style which may be drunk on its own or to accompany food. Vintage: 2008 Grapes: 100% Montepulciano Abruzzo Soil: Marl & Clay Vinification: Skin maceration. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tank. Ageing: 8 months maturation in stainless steel tanks followed by 3 months in bottle prior to release. Colour: Intense ruby red. Serve: At room temperature with spicy dishes, grilled meats, game and cheese. Taste: Full-flavoured, pleasantly dry with a hint of liquorice and a bouquet reminiscent of wild berries.

The native Montepulciano grape (not to be confused with the town of that name in Tuscany where Vino Nobile is made) is a vine of undeniable distinction. In parts of the Abruzzi, mainly in the north, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo becomes a red wine of irresistible character; full-bodied, even robust, with a capacity to age but it enjoys such supple smoothness that it can be eminently dr...
