Wine Tasting Notes The wine is a deep golden straw color, with a nose of dried apricot, spicy peach, with a touch of rose petal and honeysuckle. The crisp green apple, honeyed apricot and peach flavors meld with the traditional spicy flavors of Gewurztraminer. This medium-bodied wine's off dry style strikes the perfect balance between its sweetness and bright crisp acidity. A versatile wine, it pairs nicely with spicy Asian cooking as well as grilled chicken and fish.
Fetzer Vineyards was founded in 1968 in beautiful Mendocino County by Barney and Kathleen Fetzer. One of the first California wineries to branch out into serious Chardonnay production, Fetzer remains committed to sustainability and environmentally conscious wine production. Dennis Martin oversees all wine-making at Fetzer and is assisted by Charlie Gilmore and Michael Chupp, who are in charge of white wine making and red wine making respectively.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
Not as sweet as i expected (good thing), but decent.

A bit too tart and spicy for my taste, this wine convinced me to stick with Oregon/Washington Gewurztraminers.
I used to enjoy this a few years ago, just opened a bottle and I couldn't even finish a glass. I am sure it is more my own tastes changing and not the winte - but it was way too sweet for me and not dry enough.
This would be perfect as a dessert wine. Very sweet !!!
I purchased this wine to pair with spicy Indian food and it tasted great together! It was sweeter than I expected, but not in a disgusting syrupy way! For the price, it was just what I was looking for.

Fans of our Fetzer Gewurztraminer won't be disappointed withthis vintage. Rich, fruity and clean aromas of orange spice join with pineapple, baked pears and hints of tell-tale cinnamon. The wine can be zesty, and flavors of clove, orange and caramelized apples come to the fore. One wine writer described our Gavurz as a 'Two WoW Experience: great tasting and great energy.' I like that.
