Fetzer Vineyards was founded in 1968 in beautiful Mendocino County by Barney and Kathleen Fetzer. One of the first California wineries to branch out into serious Chardonnay production, Fetzer remains committed to sustainability and environmentally conscious wine production. Dennis Martin oversees all wine-making at Fetzer and is assisted by Charlie Gilmore and Michael Chupp, who are in charge of white wine making and red wine making respectively.
Light and smooth. Great on its own or paired with food. A good go-to summer wine.
Bright and fresh on the nose, lemongrass, apples and some herbs on the palate. High acidity, making it tart. Clean finish, refreshing.
Fresh, light fruity flavor but not overly fruity. Maybe the acid mellows out the fruit? I would buy again. Not my favorite but not bad either. Doesn't leave a horrible after-taste which is nice when you just want to have a casual glass of wine.
Good flavor, strong alcohol, and works well in traditional swiss fondue. A drier white.

External Reviews for Fetzer Sauvignon Blanc California Valley Oaks
Fetzer's done a nice job at making a dry, crisp Sauvignon Blanc that's easy to drink on it's own, or to pair with a wide variety of food. The lemon and lime, grapefruit, fig, vanilla and pepper flavors are zesty and clean.
Juicy tangerine, grapefruit and grass notes have a slight pithy edge that gives this a refreshing bite. Drink now.
Intense and zingy, showing mouthwatering orange, lemon and green apple flavors, with notes of fresh-cut grass and lime zest on the finish. Drink now.
Only a wise old company like Fetzer, with vast access to good vineyards and decades of winemaking experience, could produce such a nice Sauvignon Blanc in such huge quantities. The wine is dry and crisp, with rewarding flavors of green apples, pink grapefruits and figs. It taste smoky and full of vanilla, even though it has no oak.
Dry and super-crisp, this Sauvignon Blnac will get your taste buds watering. The zesty acidity brightens flavors of limes, Meyer lemons, white pepper and vanilla. Great restaurant wine, with more than 100,000 cases produced.
Quite lemony at first, but finishes on a more herbal note, with hints of grapefruit as well; zingy and clean at the end.
Focused, with tart lime peel, anise, grass and honeysuckle flavors. Another fine Sauvignon value from Fetzer. Drink now.
