Fetzer Sauvignon Blanc California Valley Oaks 2008
I’m a grape-friendly winemaker. Rather than push, I persuade. Our Sauvignon Blanc is a wine that calls for a soft hand to capture the crisp, clean flavors of lemon, green apple and mint making this a popular, food-friendly wine. With its balance of refreshing flavors and smooth taste, this is a great wine to start the end of your day.
Fetzer Vineyards was founded in 1968 in beautiful Mendocino County by Barney and Kathleen Fetzer. One of the first California wineries to branch out into serious Chardonnay production, Fetzer remains committed to sustainability and environmentally conscious wine production. Dennis Martin oversees all wine-making at Fetzer and is assisted by Charlie Gilmore and Michael Chupp, who are in charge of white wine making and red wine making respectively.
Light and smooth. Great on its own or paired with food. A good go-to summer wine.

Focused, with tart lime peel, anise, grass and honeysuckle flavors. Another fine Sauvignon value from Fetzer. Drink now.
Bright and bracing, with lemon, earth and grass tones that will come alive with food. A very good white from a reliable producer. Drink now.
Quite lemony at first, but finishes on a more herbal note, with hints of grapefruit as well; zingy and clean at the end.
Only a wise old company like Fetzer, with vast access to good vineyards and decades of winemaking experience, could produce such a nice Sauvignon Blanc in such huge quantities. The wine is dry and crisp, with rewarding flavors of green apples, pink grapefruits and figs. It taste smoky and full of vanilla, even though it has no oak.
Fetzer's done a nice job at making a dry, crisp Sauvignon Blanc that's easy to drink on it's own, or to pair with a wide variety of food. The lemon and lime, grapefruit, fig, vanilla and pepper flavors are zesty and clean.
Dry and super-crisp, this Sauvignon Blnac will get your taste buds watering. The zesty acidity brightens flavors of limes, Meyer lemons, white pepper and vanilla. Great restaurant wine, with more than 100,000 cases produced.
