- The wine is a deep garnet color with aromas of tart cherry and raspberry, cedar, and a touch of black pepper spice. The wine is smooth and medium-full bodied, with dried cherry, cranberry, and oak-spice flavors. This versatile wine will complement a wide variety of foods from grilled salmon to herbed chicken dishes to roast lamb. Its earthy qualities are great with grilled Portabella mushrooms and eggplant, and other vegetarian cuisine as well.
