Fetzer Cabernet Sauvignon Central Coast Five Rivers Ranch 2007
Throughout literature, in both modern and ancient times, there have been five basic elements that give life on the planet. Our wine, Five Rivers, takes its name from these five elements which shape our vineyard and enliven our wines. Our vibrant red goddesses, the flowing icons of our labels, embody these elements. The Goddesses of Air, Fire, Earth, Time and Water serve as our inspiration and are representation of a world just waiting to be discovered.
Pleasant and simple. Would be a typical of a $15 to $20 cab. But it's under $10. Awesome at this price. Like pretty much everything else Fetzer makes.
Great wine for under $10! Strong berry, particularly plum and a hint of blackberry with a tad of complex floral. Slightly dry on the finish. Go get it!
I liked it. I thought it presented a full taste of berry and plum. I alos enjoyed the finish. It may not be anything that terribly stands out, but for <$10, I'll take it.
Good, smooth, cab, especially for the money! If I were Fetzer, I would not like the "good for the money" label, but, those of us who drink wine every day, we LOVE those wines!! Keep it up, you have fans!!

On the nose you'll find deep, rich aromas of blackberry, cassis, cherry and vanilla, with evident spice from the oak and a hint of herbs. Tasting delivers a rich layered texture of ripe blackberry mocha, toffee and vanilla. Medium to firm tannins provide structure and balance to this medium-bodied Cabernet. Excellent now, the wine will continue to evolve and mature nicely in the bottle for several years to come.
From this consistent value producer, a nice everyday Cab, with good flavors of blackberries and herbs, and fine, dusty tannins. It turns even richer on the finish, with a lingering taste of oak.
Smooth-textured currant, cranberry, cedar and spice notes are easy-drinking, ending with a tobacco edge. Drink now.
Here's an herbal, minty Cab with some true varietal notes. It's very dry and clean in the mouth, with melted tannins. Everyday-style price, but with some real elegance, especially in the velvety texture.
Dark purple in color, with a rich nose of blackberry, spice and vanilla aromas. On the palate, the wine offers ripe blackberry, chocolate, and focused spices, enhanced with gentle vanilla flavors. Tannins are firm in this medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, with pleasant toastiness emerging on the finish.
