Fess Parker Syrah Santa Barbara County American Tradition Reserve 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Notes on the Fess Parker Rodney's Vineyard Santa Barbara County Syrah 2004 : WINEMAKER NOTES: The 2004 vintage has the trademark complexity of smoky, spicy, earthy notes along with dialed-up, ripe dark fruit flavors. This is more than your typical fruit-bomb, this is a big, round, fulfilling wine that has the acidity and tannins to age and the accessibility to drink this weekend (with a big, grilled steak)!FESS PARKER RODNEY'S VINEYARD SANTA BARBARA COUNTY SYRAH 2004

But, as Fess’ daughter, Ashley explains, “ Fess is from Texas, so he can’t do anything small. “The Fess Parker Winery and Vineyard now farms almost 700 acres on four vineyards throughout Santa Barbara County. Wine Tasting NotesAptly named, the first vintage of our Big Easy Syrah is big and easy to drink. Blackberry, smoke, molasses, toast and spice will be found on the nose. Notes of black cherry, plum, blackberry and sweet spice will be enjoyed on the pallet. You are sure to enjoy this meaty well structured Syrah to a long lengthy finish with its dense chocolaty tannins.
