WOW is all I can say; at a devout chardonnay lover I was not expecting too much from this 2006 Melange Blanc; it has a sparkle and softness all at the same time which I found unusual; the tast actually bubbles on your tongue; I'm hooked.

Run, donrsquo;t walk to buy up cases of this beautiful, well-priced Chardonnay. Itrsquo;s rich and sumptuous in vanilla oak and lees-inspired flavors of pineapples, pears and lime tart. Easy to find, with production of 17,496 cases.

This winersquo;s orange and green melon flavors handle oak with subtlety. The wood adds warm, honeyed accents to the earthy, creamy finish. For a lemon roast chicken.

The 1998 Chardonnay, which emphasizes Santa Barbararsquo;s tropical fruit characteristics, reveals subtle wood. It is an excellent, refreshing, lively style of Chardonnay with the fruit in the forefront. It should drink well for 2 years.

The medium-bodied, dry, pure 2002 Chardonnay possesses classic tropical fruit aromas and flavors as well as a hint of wood. Enjoy this beauty over the next 2ndash;3 years.

Mixes in a boatload of fruit aromas mdash; apple, pear, pineapple mdash; along with honey and vanilla. Takes on a definite orange-tangerine flavor, and finishes with juicy citrus notes.

The Fess Parker Winery continues to turn out fine wines that often sell for a song. The medium-bodied 2003 Chardonnay Santa Barbara is a pleasant, straightforward, easy-going effort offering plenty of tropical fruit characteristics. It is meant to be consumed over the next 1ndash;2 years.
