Winemaker's Notes:

Founded in 2002 by two friends, Sergi Ferrer-Salatand Raul Bobet. Presently fruit is sourced fromhundred year old Carignane and Grenache vinesplanted on some of the best vineyards in Priorat.These vineyards have an exceptional slate soil,locally known as llicorella planted on steep slopesat high elevations. Cool evenings contribute to thephenolic ripeness, preserving flavor and acidity.Sergi and Raul are developing their own vineyards,which will need a number of years before cominginto production. They have planted Syrah,Grenache, Carignane, Cabernet Sauvignon andViognier. In each case they have used low vigor andhigh quality rootstocks and clones, aiming forperfectly balanced vines.The estate is located between Porrera and Falset, and possesses various characteristics that give it greatpotential which were pivotal in choosing this sub-zone. These vineyards are organic, using noinsecticides, fungicides or herbicides.The winery uses gravity flow during the winemaking process from fruit reception to bottling. Fermentationtakes place in small, 15 and 30 hectoliter fermentors (mostly oak), so each vineyard can be vinifiedindividually. Wines are aged in fine grained French oak barriques and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
