Rating: 86/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the August 2010 issue. Here again is a Sauvignon Blanc that seems a little too young to drink, for while it is pert, very fresh and fit with a keen streak of varietal grassiness, it is also a bit stiff at the edges. Drink it now if you must with simple fish dishes, but it should be a friendlier wine sometime next spring.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.

Half-fermented in stainless steel, half in older oak, which is a common approach this day. This 100% varietal wine keeps Sauvignon's fresh, tart citrus fruit and acids, but adds just a little cream and softness. It's not a complicated wine, but it's a refreshing one, with some aspirations to complexity.

This 100% Sauv is delicately structured and dry and crisp in acidity. While it has a touch of oak, the fruit has been allowed to star. Lemon, lime, green apple, fig, honeydew and vanilla all come together in this pure, fresh wine.

Appealing for its richness and complex layers of ripe pear, lemon-lime, citrus and subtle herb and grass notes. Lively acidity, but not too tart, finishing with a complex array of flavors. Drink now.

Always a solid wine for the focused flavors, deft oak and clean winemaking. Citrus, fig and spice flavors in a dry, creamy texture, with bright acidity. Wonderful on its own, or with a wide range of food.

Peach, tangerine, orange and lemon flavors are ripe and zesty, with a healthy dose of juicy acidity and good intensity on the finish. Drink now.

91 points California Grapevine: Medium-light yellow; attractive, forward, intense, grassy varietal aroma with notes of ripe melon, kiwi, and citrus; medium-full body; rich, grassy, slightly tropical, citrus and honeydew melon flavors with good depth and a slightly creamy, silky mouthfeel; well balanced; crisp finish; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended.
