Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A toasty, buttery nose is the result of 70% new, medium-toast Vosges oak, but the fruit is all California Chardonnay, with Golden Delicious apple and tropical fruit flavors. This wine is medium- to full- bodied and slightly oily in texture.

This winery's first big success was with Chardonnay and it is still their most consistent wine. Apple, pear and citrus fruit combine in a ripe and mildly oaky style that is very hard to resist. Serve this wine alongside swordfish steaks with lemon, oregano and capers.

Cool aromas of lemon ice and lime, complicated by toasted hazelnut and tarragon. Juicy and intensely flavored, with lemon-limey acidity and very good cut. Suave and light on its feet; different in style from the weightier Carneros Reserve. Builds nicely on the back.

This wine's toasty scents of lees fade into clean flavors of lemon and apple custard. It's a citrusy, buttery chardonnay for grilled fish.

Waxy, smoky, butterscotch aromas lead to a moderately rich wine with smoky pear , creamy oak and spicy nuances. Could use a little more depth on the mid palate. Drink now through 2007.

Soft, ripe and oaky, with leesy flavors and notes of apples and tropical fruits. The creamy texture fans out over the palate, finishing with a honeyed smoothness.

Offers a lively beam of rich fruit supported by crisp acidity and layers of pear, apple, nutmeg and hazelnut flavors that are intense and concentrated, gaining richness on a long, firm finish. Drink now through 2009.

Winemaker's Notes:

A fullbodied Chardonnay this wine delights with aromas of apple a hint of graham cracker floral notes and honey perfectly balanced by flavors of lemon and pear on the entry and lingering creamy marshmallow toasted oak notes
