Here's a bottle of California's favorite white in a ripe and rich style. It's complex and concentrated, with lovely pear, apricot, tangerine and melon flavors that gain in opulence and pick up a pleasingly spicy note. Drink now through 2002.

A toasty, buttery nose is the result of 70% new, medium-toast Vosges oak, but the fruit is all California Chardonnay, with Golden Delicious apple and tropical fruit flavors. This wine is medium- to full- bodied and slightly oily in texture.

This winery's first big success was with Chardonnay and it is still their most consistent wine. Apple, pear and citrus fruit combine in a ripe and mildly oaky style that is very hard to resist. Serve this wine alongside swordfish steaks with lemon, oregano and capers.

Elegant, even delicate in style, this northern Sonoma-grown Chardonnay shows a tasty mix of spicy pear, apple, melon and light oak shadings, finishes with a complex interplay of fruit and oak. Drink now through 2000.

This wine's toasty scents of lees fade into clean flavors of lemon and apple custard. It's a citrusy, buttery chardonnay for grilled fish.

Also screw-cap finished, the 2008 Chardonnay Sonoma exhibits abundant citrus blossom, poached pear, honeysuckle and tropical fruit characteristics in a medium to full-bodied, juicy, pure, heady style. This delicious Chardonnay should drink well for another 1-2 years.

Winemaker's Notes:

A fullbodied Chardonnay this wine delights with aromas of apple a hint of graham cracker floral notes and honey perfectly balanced by flavors of lemon and pear on the entry and lingering creamy marshmallow toasted oak notes
