Ferrando Erbaluce di Caluso la Torrazza 2008

Member Review by CrooKedBarrel:

A - clear body sports a lemon-gold core with prominent golden hues. S - A medium/ intensity exudes bruised apple and white floral notes along a citrus spine. T - dry/off dry with confident acidity that balances a medium body. The flavor profile is less prominent than the acidity, yet citrus notes of lemon and lime, green apple and grapefruit present rather well. The floral notes also reach the palate, as elderflower and jasmine jive with a slight herbaceous lemongrass freshness, an intriguing hint of clove spice, and a clean wet stone minerality. O - all in all, this wine offers value for money, and will pair nicely with fresh fish dishes ranging from shellfish to sushi or even a zingy ceviche.
