Big, ripe cab nose. Lovely soft grenache fruit tones. Very ripe fruits and a more full bodied style of CDR. Abundant flavors and a long finish. Very nice! - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 6/12/10
This time around, a big nose of peppercorn and sage with big, black fruit. Aromas of crushed boysenberry and blackberry. Flavors of spice, toast, roasted meat jus, graphite, wood spice, and some tobacco. Slight hints of licorice. Big, bold and drinking nicely. Needs food.
Another outstanding Rhone from the infamous 2007 vintage. The nose is extremely fresh and vibrant with notes of raspberries, strawberries, cherries, cranberries and a touch of smoke. There's so much fruit on the nose that you'll anticipate a fruit bomb, but it isn't over the top at all. It's elegant, we'll integrated and delicious. Cherries come through in the mid-palate and the finish is rich and peppery. This is off-the-charts on the QPR scale.
