Good full red. Aromas of dark raspberry cola and musky soil tones with a faint hint of char. Richer and deeper than the Cornish Point and Bannockburn bottlings with lovely intensity to the flavors of red and dark berries underbrush and cola. Currently a bit aggressive on the chewy palate-coating back end as the acids and tannins have not yet harmonized. But this wine grew silkier with time in the recorked bottle and gained dramatically in red fruit character. I d give it a year or two before pulling the cork. Stephen Tanzers IWC.

Winemaker's Notes:

95 points Australian Gourmet Traveller: Poised and powerful with a lovely perfumed aroma and fine-boned texture. It shows a mix of floral, cherry, berry, spice and subtle savoury characters; plus a wild herb and mixed-spice influence. (Apr/May 2012)
