Tight on the nose with notes of seashells and dusty white flowers edged with smoky nuances of butterscotch and herb. Taut in the mouth as well with good volume yet very restrained, focused flavors of green fruits. The finish is huge and really shows the richness of the wine and the fine mineral notes that offer contrast to the slow to open core of orchard fruits. Give this another few months in the bottle. 92pts

Winemaker's Notes:

Colour of pale straw. A nose of stonefruits, with lemon and a distinct mineraledge. The palate leads with nutty stonefruit, following with crisp acid andcleansing minerality. Very rich and mouth-coating, yet with a bracing cleanfinish and plenty of grip. The tension is evident despite the riper flavoursthan we normally see in this wine; certainly no sign of New World fatness. Awine with considerable ageing potential.
