What to Expect

Primitivo is a clone of the Zinfandel grape of California and both are offspring of Croatia's Crljenak Kastelanski. Most commonly planted in Italy's Puglia region, Primitivo produces a richly fruited wine that has flavors of blackberry, cherry and raspberry with a hint of spice and an earthy core.

Winemakers Notes

Wonderfully scented nose of ripe red cherry almond paste and minerals. Spicy flavors of red berries tobacco and mint are complemented by a note of sweet raspberry liqueur. Bright acids give lift to the wine's berry and mineral notes. Delivers an uncanny combination of sweetness and energy and finishes long and seamless. Robert Parker.
