A touch closed on the nose with some wood covering flinty and floral aromas, which blossom in the glass and are joined by very fresh and fruity red berry notes. Soft and broad on entry, this offers up very bright and juicy blackberry and plum fruit with light tannins and perhaps a touch of wood-induced sweetness on the back end. Finishes with a hint of red plum. The finish shows off lovely fruit tannins and continues the honest and pure varietal feel of this wine. 88pts

The nose here is quite savory with spicy herbs, a big flush of minerality and then salty, tarry fruits that recall crushed berries with a hint of black olive. The feel here is a bit chewy with very soft tannins and solid acidity supporting rich dense fruit. The expression of raspberry and strawberry fruit has lovely freshness and purity. The finish is long and fine for Teroldego with a light mineral dusting and a very fine, refreshing, cleansing quality. 90pts

Teroldigo takes its name from its traditional method of cultivation, trained on a system of “tirelle” or wire harnesses. This dark red plush and fruity with a ripe finish and tannins that give this food-friendly wines a great backbone, yet it remains supple and very accessible.
