- Well over a year ago Andy Erickson mentioned the name of vineyard owner Ann Kraemer to me and said if I ever get the chance I should go visit her property in Amador County. I jotted down the name and posted it on my wall. Now that I have tasted the wine from her vineyard, I can understand why Andy pointed it out to me. He and Annie consider the Kraemer fruit to be some of the best Syrah available in the region. It is their smallest production wine at 121 cases. The nose explodes with bright, exotic aromas of blueberry, currant, bacon fat and crème brulee. The palate has a full rich feel to it with plenty of acidity.
