Winemaker's Notes:

Colour: Ruby red. Bouquet: Fruit fragrance with a fine and selected bouquet. Taste: Dry, sapid and acceptably tannic. The maturation in oak barrel and after in bottles accentuates its sooth taste as well its rich bouquet. Food suggestion: Ideal for all courses. When young it goes perfectly with “tagliatelle” with meat and tomato sauce, “Vincisgrassi” and salami as “Cjauscolo” as well roast meat and fish stews.

Fattoria Laila in Corinaldo, lies in the rolling hills of the Marche, overlooking the Adriatic Sea on the east coast of Italy. Dark garnet color, not cloudy. High, sharp notes in the nose, but smooth mouthfeel and enough roundness to complement the substantial tannins. Open more than 24 hours at this point and drinking better. A possible candidate for short term cellaring on the cheap. B+
