March 2007
- Deep and opaque almost black color. Modest nose of ripe plums, reglisse and leather. Full-bodied with a rich and unctuous texture; strong fruit sensations but at the same time an impression of class and of a vintage much older than 1999. Smooth tannins on the finish and a long finish with fruit and vanillin subtly mixed confirm the impression of a "Grand Vin". Can be cellared for 6-8 years. Drinks well now; most suitable as accompaniment to big entrées.
