Fattoria di Felsina Berardenga Maestro Raro Toscan Italy 2006

Member Review by Eric Guido:

The nose showed sweet cherry soda, medicinal herbs and coco powder. On the palate, an intense wave of cherry fruit wrapped the senses in sweet tannins, with a hint of savory beef reduction sauce in a full, velvety expression. The finish was gorgeous and haunting as notes of spiced cherry clung to the palate. This wine was pleasing on every level.

This en-lightened land lived an extraordinary moment in Italy’s history, witnessing, if only for a few moments, the dream come true of an ideal city: Siena.
