Wine Advocate ReviewThe estates 2003 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Vigneto Antica Chiusina, the single-vineyard selection, is a blend of 90% Prugnolo Gentile and 10% Colorino aged 18 months in French oak barrels. This beautifully plump Vino Nobile captures the warmth of the vintage in its expressive, opulent personality and generous sweet, dark fruit. Despite its ripeness, it also offers superb freshness as well as balance which will allow it to drink well over the next decade. It is a terrific effort from Fattoria del Cerro. Anticipated maturity: 2007 - 2018.Wine Tasting NotesIt has an intense and concentrated, vivid ruby red color. The aroma is typical with hints of violet, wild black cherry, wild berries and touches of spices with a slight vanilla finish. It has a full, enveloping, fine and elegant flavor, with an excellent persistence. Can be served with roasted red meats, red and white grilled meats and seasoned cheeses.
