Fattoria del Cerro Chianti Cs'07 2008
External Reviews for Fattoria del Cerro Chianti Cs'07
The 2008 Chianti Colli Senesi bursts from the glass with an array of dark fruit, minerals and leather. This is an especially dark, vibrant Chianti that could use another few months in bottle to come together, although it is already pretty elegant. The Chianti Colli Senesi is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo aged in cask. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2013.
The 2007 Chianti Colli Senesi (Sangiovese, Canaiolo) is a new offering from one of Montepulciano's leading properties. The wine is made in a rich, fruit-driven style with the impeccable balance that is the signature of the estate's more important bottlings. This bold, cask-aged Chianti should continue to drink beautifully over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012.
